Salary Survey overview 2009/2010

Since the beginning of 2009 the salaries for office workers have been stagnant. For some positions the salaries have been reduced as there is a large number of highly skilled candidates’s applying for positions and willing to take a reduction in salaries. Employers are now in the driving seat and as such can offer salaries below the market rate of 2007 / 2008. There is a decrease in the demand for PA’s and Secretaries. Employers are still recruiting but are looking at alternative ways of recruiting.

The number of temporary roles has reduced but there are still positions available. They tend to be for shorter contracts and for slightly less hourly rates again due to the competition for positions.
